De heidespringspin Evarcha michailovi nieuw gemeld voor Nederland: habitatbeschrijving en determinatie Nederlandse Evarcha-soorten (2019)

Vogels, J., Koomen, P.,Tutelaers, P. & IJland, S. 2019.

In 2012, the jumping spider Evarcha michailovi Logunov was first recorded for the Netherlands. Re-examination of older Evarcha material revealed that the species was previously overlooked and misidentified as Evarcha laetabunda (C.L. Koch). In this article, a description of habitus as well as genital characters of this species and other Western European Evarcha species is made in order to improve the distinction of the species belonging to this genus. We provide a key to the species that makes it possible to distinguish male and female specimens of Evarcha arcuata (Clerck), Evarcha falcata (Clerck), E. laetabunda and E. michailovi, often even when only habitus characteristics are available. We also present all known current locations where E. michailovi has been found in the Netherlands, and provide additional information on the occurrence of the species in Belgium.
