plant species along roadsides in Sweden. The
species poses a significant ecological threat
by displacing native plants in nutrient-poor
pioneer habitats. The association between lu-
pine and the road network suggests that road
use and maintenance play a major role in its
spread. Understanding these mechanisms is
crucial to limiting its expansion and protecting
local biodiversity.
